Hey, folks! Today is the release day for my new 7" Church Hill Downs/ Fairgrounds. These songs and recordings are special to me as they are the first ones to be done in my new old home. It feels like a new start. They are also the first songs that my girl, Drea, played bass and sang on EVER! Also, my long time friend, Jim Faulkner, played drums on the tracks. I met Jim when I was about 11 years old, he was in a band with my older brother. When they would hang around the house Jim would help me tune my drums. I believe he owns that drum set today. Jim is responsible for bringing me to see and hear my first rock shows. Laughing Hyenas/ Sonic Youth at Saint Andrews in Detroit. The Colors, The Gories, The Junk Monkeys usually at Paychecks or the Hamtramck Pub or Lily's (Painted Lady) in Hamtramck. Those shows changed my life. Thanks, Jim. So it's great to be on a 7" record together! Its also my first release with Jett Plastic Recordings. Jarrett is really something else! We're happy to be a part of his label. Thanks! -Kenny
